Otto's Kindergarten Class: Writing music for instruments and my Easter Oratorio

Picture
Easter Oratorio: Movement I
The first movement (or chapter) from my Easter Oratorio uses an old German song about Easter. It is about people being happy about Easter. We are going to try and listen for each group of instruments that plays.

Movement II

In this movement, Faust is sad and sings to the moon and calls the moon his friend. The choir is the moon.

Movement III

This movement has another verse of the old German song. It talks about a battle between good and bad (life and death). Sometimes this is represented as a Lion and Dragon fighting each other.

Movement IV

In this movement Faust hears a choir singing Easter music and is happy again. You can hear the happy ending where all the instruments and choir play and sing together, singing "Alleluia". (8:05)
